Kirsty qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2006. In 2019 she gained a post graduate degree in clinical and professional veterinary nursing, from London's Royal Veterinary College. She has always nursed in her home town of Doncaster (and surrounding areas) so will be a familiar face to many pet parents. Her home is shared with her husband, son and daughter, is full of rescued animals to include dogs, cats, rabbits and ducks.
After a few years as a clinical manager in corporate clinics, Kirsty decided she didn't care for business models and targets, so set about looking for work focusing on putting the care of patients and clients first.
After over a year of searching, and lots of help from family & friends, the idea of DONCASTER PET CLINIC was born!
Chris has also been a huge animal lover his whole life and has been hugely involved with patient care since meeting Kirsty in 2002. Their house together has always been full of rescues/recovering patients and hand rears.
Having owned and ran family businesses before, he takes care of that side of our DONCASTER PET CLINIC and also doesn't shy away from nursing and maintenance duties in his spare time.
Dr Pamela graduated from the London Royal Veterinary College in 1996. Pamela has 2 human children at home as well as guinea pigs, a dog and a cat. Kirsty and Pamela first enjoyed working together in 2003 at an hours of hours Emergency clinic. Pamela is very experienced in all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine, making her an obvious choice to join our Doncaster Pet Clinic.
Dr Suzy graduated as a Veterinary surgeon, from the University of Liverpool in 2010, after already gaining a degree in Animal Science at the University of Nottingham.
At home, Suzy is kept busy by her 2 cats and her 2 children.
She has a keen interest in surgery, and has recently completed practical sessions in Small Animal Surgery, to advance these surgical skills.
Dr Emily graduated from Bristol University in 2020 and has since worked in two busy small animal practices in Rotherham and Sheffield.
Emily joined Doncaster Pet Clinic in 2023 to become our dedicated Van Vet and loves getting out and about in the neighboring communities, spending time with pets and their families. Outside of work she enjoys walking in the Peak district, yoga and spending time with her rescue cat Norman.
Vanessa qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2016, after working as a dog handler in the military.
She has also completed a specialised nursing certificate in emergency and critical care.
Vanessa loves nothing more than to go on adventures in her camper van and keeping fit with her Boxer dog, Rory.
Zoe is the newest member of our team.
She qualified as a Registered Veterinary nurse in 2020. Zoe is pet parent to a Cat & 3 horses which take up all of her spare time. She is also studying to become a SQP which will allow her to prescribe certain medications in practice.
Ella previously completed an animal management degree to a level 5 HND and is now working at Doncaster Pet Clinic as a veterinary care assistant.
At home she loves to spend time with her dog and guinea pig fur babies.
Her dream is to run her own rescue sanctuary one day!
At work she will mostly be found in the kennels making sure your pet feels comfortable and loved! She also helps out on reception when it is busy.
Jenna is our Head Receptionist (and a much loved family member).
She has the best memory and remembers every single person and pet. Were always calling upon her to remember everyone's tasks and pull us up when we forget things ha ha!
She has two small cross breed dogs at home. I'm sure you will have all seen pictures of these at her reception desk <3
Annie is a part-time receptionist here at Doncaster Pet Clinic.
Both Kirsty & Emma have worked alongside her in other vet clinics in the past, and kept in touch.
We were delighted when she agreed to come and help us out on reception.
I'm sure you will all agree that she is caring, attentive and bubbly which is a great attribute to the role.
Freya, again is a much loved family member. She is very helpful on reception and with in-patient care, when she is not studying hard at college. In her spare time you will find her playing with and walking her 2 little fur besties,
Teddy & Mabel.
Emma is our office manager, keeping everything on the straight and narrow.
She will usually be in the office upstairs doing paperwork.
At home she keeps Rats, and currently has 5.
She is also sister to Kirsty, Sister-in-law to Chris & Jenna, and Auntie to Freya (we did say this was a family owned and ran clinic)!
